On July 30, 2024, over 2,000 guests from the business and workplace safety and health (WSH) communities gathered to celebrate the recipients of the WSH Awards 2024. Themed “Celebrating the Best”, the ceremony honoured 323 awardees who demonstrated exceptional commitment to maintaining high standards in workplace safety and health.
The prestigious WSH Awards Ceremony, hosted by the WSH Council, was attended by MCC Singapore’s Executive Vice President Ms Xu Yanan and the key members of the project teams. The event not only celebrated their achievements but also underscored the industry-wide significance of prioritising safety and health in the workplace.
Among the distinguished awards presented at the ceremony, the Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects (SHARP) stood out. MCC Singapore was particularly distinguished at the ceremony with multiple recognitions under the Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects (SHARP). This award celebrates large-scale projects or worksites that demonstrate exemplary safety and health performance, supported by comprehensive WSH management systems.
MCC Singapore’s projects recognised with the esteemed SHARP Award include the following:
- LTA CR101 Changi East Depot
- LTA T311 Bedok South Station
- One Bernam
- Sceneca Residence
In particular, this is the second year running for LTA CR101 Changi East Depot, having been recognised with the SHARP Award in 2023. Additionally, the One Bernam project, previously honoured with a Letter of Appreciation for the SHARP Award in 2023, has now earned its place among the awardees.
These projects exemplify the company's commitment to safety and health, reflecting their adherence to the highest standards of WSH management. Their recognition highlights their commitment to creating a safe and secure working environment, ensuring the safety and health of their workforce and the public.
In addition to the SHARP Awards, MCC Singapore received Letters of Appreciation for notable contributions to workplace safety and health practices. These acknowledgments further reinforce MCC Singapore's position as a leader in the industry, consistently striving for safety and health excellence.
